Technical Assistance

The Union Square Awards offers a comprehensive technical assistance program to its award and grant recipients. The goals are to build institutional capacity and infrastructure that enhance the organization's work and sustainability.

The Union Square Awards technical assistance program includes individual consultations, group trainings and workshops on topics such as fundraising, fiscal management and technology as well as conferences and forums to address particular topics of relevance to the nonprofit community or to discuss best practices and peer learning exchanges among groups.

Other activities such as film festivals, communications conferences, and leadership seminars build skills, provide networking opportunities and maximize the impact of grantees’ work.  Many activities are organized in collaboration with other funders in New York.
