Mud/Bone is a people of color-led, cross-cultural theater company based in the South Bronx.  It provides arts education workshops for young people and adults, nurtures new works by emerging writers, and reinterprets the classics for diverse urban audiences. The Mud/Bone Collective believes in the ideals of community collaboration and in the untapped creative artistry of its Bronx neighbors. It offers varied arts programming for children and adults.

Studio 889, Mud/Bone’s storefront space on Hunts Point Avenue, offers a free three-hour workshop to explore different visual-art and printmaking techniques. Taught by an award winning artist, the workshop welcomes adults and children. The Family Puppetry Workshop engages families and children in the art of puppet making. Held at Studio 889, this five-session series is taught in the spring by a master puppeteer. The Forum Theater Workshop recruits local residents to engage in performance and reinterprets the classics for diverse urban audiences.
